Since then, we have been voted best Dutch travel agency on the Internet several times. Through elmarreizen.nl and vakantiediscounter.nl Elmar Travel offers people the possibility to book package trips to destinations all around the world. These trips are facilitated by the tour operators in our partner network. We are a small organization with young, highly motivated employees, located on the Herengracht in Amsterdam.
Functie - informatie	We are searching for (Senior) Java developers who want to take on the following challenges with our partner Xebia. Elmar was one of the first travel agencies on the internet and, like any pioneer Elmar carries the dialectics of progress. We have therefore opted to reinvent ourselves and to make the jump to 2010 at the same time. Starting with new websites. We go to an entirely new application landscape, replacing all existing applications, including the financial package and the CRM and contact center applications. In addition, we are currently putting the first steps in developing a completely new core system/platform which will be the heart of our business. This system will have high availability requirements and do data processing for billions of records. The development of this core system has many technical challenges, from the creation of import and match algorithms to connecting with internal and external systems with a variety of technologies.
Functie-eisen	• A master degree in computer science; • Experience with Spring, Hibernate, Seam, Tomcat, Maven and / or Eclipse; • Experience with Agile software development, particularly with scrum; • Experience with faceted search technology and nosql solutions; • Open and communicative; • Ambitious and full of initiative; • Expert level in Dutch and/or English.
